Customer Success Manager


Rising Team is seeking an ambitious person excited to collaboratively design and implement team development programs. As a Customer Success Manager (CSM), you will work with customers of varying sizes to ensure leaders look and feel like rock stars as they roll out their team development initiatives. 

While we know you aren’t a mind reader, our ideal CSM is so attentive and empathetic that you often know a client’s needs before they do. You enjoy fast-pace, rapid problem-solving, and learning on your feet while consistently delivering at a very high level. Most importantly, you’re excited about developing authentic relationships anchored in supporting effective leadership and team development.

This role is designed for high achievers who want to develop their Leadership and People Management chops. You’ll have extensive exposure to the best People & Behavior Change science, HR and Talent Development executives, and leadership thought leaders. This role has extensive room for growth and reports to the Head of Customers and Data.

The Rising Team platform helps companies scale Talent Development by equipping managers with tools to run engaging team development sessions. Our primary customers are senior functional and divisional executives and HR leaders interested in driving transformation in engagement, retention, and effectiveness at their organizations. Founded in 2020, Rising Team is led by a group of highly experienced entrepreneurs and managers, with decades of experience and track records of success. We have grown ARR >4x in the past year and have recently secured a second funding round.

What you'll do:

  • Work with clients to make sure they are successful with their team development goals and that Rising Team is a key part of supporting their goals
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer accounts
  • Design & implement successful team development project plans
  • Develop long-lasting, trust-based relationships
  • Perform all core project and customer management tasks
  • Document all account information and progress in CRM
  • Maximize client retention and revenue growth with consultative sales
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services to clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are being met and issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Monitor and analyze client performance and usage data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

What you'll need:

  • Customer-facing experience, such as consulting, investment banking, B2B enterprise software, or other similar roles
  • Experience and/or interest in the People Development space 
  • A sense of urgency to do the best thing possible for our customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Timely, proactive outreach
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
